I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. It has been pretty wet and miserable here in Melbourne so far this weekend but that didn’t stop the ORP and I from getting out and about for a quick catch up. For those new to my blog or those that have forgotten, the ORP or Overrated Photographer is a good friend of mine and he often features in my blogs. We will catch up with our kids or catch up for a shoot or a little of both if we can get away with it. He is a good bloke and you can check out his work here. Here is a photo of him on his scooter.

We both do simiilar work in writing product reviews for ShotKit.com. We review our own gear as well as loan gear sent to us from various product distributors. We both have camera bags out on loan and are in the middle of writing our own reviews. So we needed each others help to get some product shots done.

I needed him to model my bag as, despite his shortcomings, he makes a good model. He needed me to take decent photos of him modelling his bag. I don’t do modelling for anyone. We used our location to our advantage as we were underneath the Bolte Bridge with the freeway flowing high above us. I took some time to get some more abstract shots of the bridge as I love the scale of the pylons and spans. It made for an interesting and industrial style backdrop.

We took several shots of The Orp with his bag on whilst sitting on his motorcycle and approaching his motorcycle too. That bike makes for a great prop and we have used it in a few shoots together. I got my photos of him wearing the bag I am reviewing and walking along looking casual. I am pretty confident we got the desired shots.

All of the images in this blog were taken with the Fujifilm X-T3 with the Fujifilm XF23mmF2, Fujifilm XF50mmF2 and the Fujifilm XF55-200mmF3.5-4.8.
