Melbourne Streets in Monochrome – Volume 2

Melbourne can be such a riot of colour and activity that is may sometimes beg the questions why shoot in black and white? I honestly don’t have a great answer. I like the way that monochrome photography creates a more even playing field.  Colour offers no distraction to the subjects or the colours in the scene.  As a photographer, sometimes it just feels right to take a certain style of image in colour versus monochrome.
